First picture of baby

Measuring (almost) right on time...8w 2d by measurements, 8w 4d by LMP. So the doctor is using 8w 4d, and my official due date is December 5th! I LOVE my doctor. She is super nice, wasn't in a hurry, answered all my questions, and was very gentle. I couldn't have asked for more!

We've had a busy day other than that...we finished laying the tile in the alcove in our living room where our wood-burning stove sits. We used natural slate, and it is gorgeous! Now for the grouting tomorrow...

More updates tomorrow!

He's leaving me alone again...

It's been a good week! Work has been fairly stress-free, and I'm still not having any sickness. I do notice I'm queasy all day long, but if I snack here and there, it gets better. Every day, I look down and say "Wow! What a rack!" My girls have never been this big! I'm gearing up for my first dr. appointment on Wed the 29th, and I'm so excited. I do have a sense of "what if" in the back of my mind, but I'm not letting that get to me. After all, at this point I have no reason to worry. What happens, happens.
I will start taking weekly pictures on Saturday, as that currently marks me at 8 weeks! Of course, this may be changed after the dating U/S on Wed.
We had great weather this past weekend, and I had a chance to plant some geraniums, clean a bit, and take naps in the warm sun. :) G will be leaving tomorrow for an overnight guy's golfing weekend Fri and Sat...but it's for work. That's what he says.
So, Stacia, again, is left to her own devices overnight. He is giving me a serious massage when he gets back!

Girl's night In

G and his dad just left for Seattle to do a "Tiger Cruise" on an Naval aircraft carrier tomorrow. They're staying with our friend T, who is the navy guy, tonight, and going on the cruise tomorrow. They're coming back late tomorrow night....so this means 2 nights of chick-flicks/baby shows/laziness without anyone other than the dog to care for. Hello chocolate chip cookies! (which I would have whether he's here or not, thank you)

Luckily, no nausea yet. Just fatigue by 3-4 p.m., extreme thirst, and on/off cramping. My mom had 4 kids and said that she didn't experience an ounce of nausea with all pregnancies...no Braxton Hicks contractions, nothing. This is one of the few things I pray to inherit from my mother.

Happy Easter, everyone!

I have done absolutely nothing today except for laundry...fatigue is kicking my butt! Thank goodness I have a great hubby who knows how to vaccum, too. Who would have thought?
We're getting ready to head to the in-laws' for dinner, but I just wanted to wish everyone a blessed day!

What does "spoiled" look like?

So, my father-in-law is retired. He spends his days surfing the 'net, scouring Craig's list for random deals, and enjoying days at home while my MIL is at work. Last weekend, he mentioned he found a few onesies online and wondered if red is a "gender neutral" color. I say, sure it is! He says: "Well, I found this one that says:"

He is going to spoil this kid rotten!

Row, row, row your bloat

For my guy friend who reads this, I apologize ahead of time...you may not care to see (or hear)this.
I am SO bloated. In the last 10 days, I have gone from my normal belly to ridiculous I-look-like-I-haven't-had-water-in-weeks bloat. My body is hoarding every ounce of water it can. I suppose those salty Baked Lays I had at lunch didn't help any. Out of obligation and my need to track this pregnancy pictorally, I am reluctantly posting my 4-weeks pregnant belly from last week. I am 5w 0d pregnant today (by my O date), and 5w 3d by LMP. I haven't taken a picture this week out of vanity, but maybe I'll take one in the morning before the belly balloons. Until then, I shall say goodbye to this pretty little belly that I may likely never have again:

There was an episode of "Scrubs" when Sarah Chalke's character Dr. Reid talked about her "cookie pants". Her fat pants. So, I have been living in my cookie pants every day after work (and boy, are they comfy).

Crazy 8

I have not been great at the blogging thing, lately. Part of it is because I'm in bed by 8pm nightly. The other part is that I am lazy lazy! It's been a wonderful, crazy 8 days since I found out about the babe, but everyday gets a little more interesting:

1. I've never vomited in my mouth until yesterday. No nausea, but the pb&j I had at lunch didn't taste so well the second time around.
2. Crazy dreams. Most of them I don't remember, but the one I do: I'm a pregnant patient at the hospital portrayed on Gray's Anatomy. Dr. McSteamy is my Dr. (interesting, because he's a plastic surgeon on the show), and he was secretly the father! Whew! Good thing I woke up and realized I didn't really cheat on my husband!
3. Hello, ladies! ::looking down:: I now understand the need for a comfortable, supportive bra. Plus, no jogging for me, cause that sh!t hurts! (Sorry, Tech!)
4. I now get to see my father-in-law as a complete softie. He already bought the babe a onesie that says "My first Corvette". You have to know him to understand that that is the COOLEST thing in the world to him.
5. I'm learning just how much of a sweetheart my hubby is. And what a great father he'll be.

I can't wait!

4 weeks, 3 days pregnant
